Hello mushroom people,
We’ll be hosting an open invitation, virtual ‘Town Hall’ next week on Tuesday, July 28th at 3 pm eastern time U.S. for people participating in the inaugural World Mushroom Forum online from August 21st - 23rd this year.
The purpose of the town hall is to connect with others in the ‘WMF’ before we kick off and to field questions, ideas, and get a sense of what the best way to collaborate together on this first World Mushroom Forum is.
WMF has truly global representation from the mushroom community in a way that we believe is unprecedented, and we’re calling upon all of our collaborators and participants to help make this something spectacular. This is a bootstrapped, grassroots global fungi gathering and we want your input on how to maximize impact and value.
We are actively working on finessing the programming, and value your input as we move forward — the majority of the World Mushroom Forum sessions will be panels, with limited solo / keynote speakers which are already largely spoken for.
In this spirit, we will work with everyone to find the best fit for each of you to be part of a panel that suits your professional expertise or research focus.
Please note, this is just the first of several ‘town halls’ before we kick off the official ‘WMF’ event August 21st - 23rd. This is totally optional and won’t affect your participation if you can’t make it or choose not to come; there will be 2-3 more town halls before the actual event that you’ll also have the invite to which will be announced a week in advance each time.
